ST. AGATHA – Roland “Pete,” 79, died June 12, 2006, at a Frenchville Nursing Home. He was born Oct. 21, 1926, in St. Agatha, the son of Joseph and Eva (Bouchard) Michaud. He was a lifelong resident of St. Agatha, avid farmer for many years and a volunteer fireman for 20 years. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He is survived by two sons, John and his wife, Diane, of St. Agatha, Richard “Rick” and his wife, Lisa, of Connecticut; three daughters, Anne Nadeau of Kansas, Sharon Voisine of Fort Kent and Lisa Fox of Kansas; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Juliette and her husband, Slyva Gorneaultk and Teresa and her husband, Tom Frawley, both of Connecticut and Dot Applegate of Indiana; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; and his wife, Avis (Comstock) Michaud in 2000; one grandson, Ronnie Corriveau; two brothers, Leo James and Wallace. Friends and relatives may call 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 14 and 8:30 a.m. Thursday until time of services at the Michaud Funeral Home, St. Agatha. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday at the St. Agatha Catholic Church, with the Rev. Leopold Nicknair officiating. Burial in the St. Agatha Lower Cemetery.
