MADAWASKA – Roland “Roule” Sirois, 72, died Jan. 2, 2008, at a Frenchville nursing home. He was born March 6, 1935, in Frenchville, the son of Wilfred and Mattie (Cyr) Sirois. He was a member of the Frenchville Fire Department from 1960 to 1975. He is survived by the love of his life, Angela St. Jarre; one son, Dale and his wife, Caroline, and their children, Jimmy and Mindy, of St. Basile, New Brunswick; four daughters, Sharol and her husband, John, and her children, Tracy and Kristie, Margie and her husband, Luke “Butch” Derosier Jr., and their children, Jason and Michelle, of St. Agatha, Deanna Levesque and daughter, Alexis, Cindy Marquis and her children, Melana and Cole of St. Agatha; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Roger and his wife, Claudette, of New Britain, Conn.; three sisters, Lorraine Chamberland of Plainville, Conn., Joan and her husband, Reginald Hebert, of St. David, and Rita and her husband, Leroy Dumond, of Westbrook; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; and one son, Kevin Sirois. Friends and relatives may call 7-9 p.m. Friday and 8:30 a.m. Saturday until time of services at Michaud Funeral Home, Frenchville. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday at Notre Dame Du Mont Carmel, Madawaska with Father James Albert. Burial will be at St. Thomas Cemetery in the spring. For those who desire donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
