CARIBOU – Rosabelle Haney 87, died Feb. 4, 2007, at her Caribou residence, after a short illness. She was born Sept. 4, 1919, in Baldwinville, Mass., the daughter of Frederick and Laura (Devio) Gravel. Rosabelle was a loving and devoted mother to her family and truly enjoyed family gatherings and was a great cook. She loved country music, bingo and playing cards with her husband and family. She was a member of the Lister Knowlton Post 9389 VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She is survived by her husband, Elden Haney of Caribou; seven sons and four daughters-in-law, Louis and Virginia Jolly of Connecticut, George Jolly and Bernard and Gerry Jolly, all of Athol, Mass., James Jolly of Maine, Henry and Jill Jolly of Woodland, David and Barbara Jolly of Caribou and Joey Jolly of Texas; eight daughters, Janet Rathburn of Athol, Mass., Laura Parker and husband, Harold, of South Carolina, Carol Oliver of Acushnet, Mass., Rosemary Rathburn of Athol, Mass., Susan Bragdon and husband, Glen, of Caribou, Deborah Barcom and husband, Junior, of Champlain, N.Y., Elizabeth Ennis and companion, Louis Long, of Caribou and Cindy Ackerman and companion, Don Arnold, of Manchester, N.H.; 50 grandchildren, 89 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Rosabelle was predeceased by her first husband, Louis Jolly in 1962; a son, Ronald; three brothers, Frederick, Francis and George Gravel; two sisters, Doris Bushee and Beatrice Hoke; two sons-in-law, David Rathburn and Tommy Rathburn. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 8, at the funeral home with the Rev. Roger Jewell, officiating. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery. After the service the family would like to invite everyone to the Bethel Pentecostal Church for a time of fellowship and refreshments. Friends who wish to contribute in memory of Mrs. Haney may do so through a memorial fund to be established in her memory.
