HERMON – Rox-Anne Barker, 49, died Dec. 19, 2007, at a Brewer health care facility, after an extended illness. She was born March 24, 1958, in Bangor, the daughter of Ellery M. and Imogene L. (Knowlton) Barker. She was a graduate of Hermon High School, Class of 1976. Rox-Anne worked as a nursing technician for a period of time. She enjoyed her feline friends and movies. Rox-Anne was a member of Hermon Baptist Church and later attended Harvest Chapel of Levant. Surviving are her father, Ellery Barker of Bangor; two sisters, Kim Kneeland and her husband, Rex, of Levant, and Catherine Wentworth and her husband, Eric, of Portland; a nephew, Morgan Kneeland and his wife, Christina, of Stetson; two nieces, Asher Shyrock and her husband, Riley, of Portland, and Sarah Roughgarden and her husband, Todd, of Bowdoinham; an uncle, Ernest Barker of Bangor; and a special friend, Gladys McCann of Bangor. The family thanks the staff at Brewer Rehab. for their loving care during Rox-Anne’s illness. Services will be held at a time to be announced in the spring. A service of Brookings-Smith.
