MADAWASKA and FORT KENT – Rudolph “Rudy” Dube, 83, died peacefully Sept. 12, 2007, at a Fort Kent health care facility. He was born Sept. 18, 1923, in Wallagrass, the son of Hilaire and Hattie (Gagnon) Dube . Rudy was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters of Wallagrass. Rudy owned and operated a very successful bakery in Madawaska for more than 30 years, until his retirement at age 52. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by two brothers, Artie and his wife, Theresa, of Tellahassee, Fla., and Leonard and his wife, Gloria, of Eagle Lake; five sisters, Noella Pinette of Soldier Pond, Marie Richardson of South Portland, Lorette Perreault of Fort Kent, Bernadette Dube of Fort Kent, and Betty Russell of Miami; a very special friend, Marylin Bard of Madawaska; several nieces and nephews. In addition to both parents, he was predeceased by two sisters, Dorothy Sutherland and Mildred Cote; and one brother, Alcime Dube. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. Saturday until time of departure for Soldier Pond, at Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Soldier Pond. Committal services will be at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, Wallagrass.
