OLD TOWN – Russell “Rusty” Kenneth Dutton, 48, went home to heaven to be with his father, Oct. 16, 2006, surrounded by his loving family at his residence. He was born Aug. 14, 1958, in Old Town, a son of Ralph and Madeline (Drake) Dutton. Rusty graduated from Old Town High School and was employed at H.E. Sargent for a brief time. Rusty enjoyed puzzles, especially word find and jigsaw. He liked to mow the lawn, go snowmobiling and ice fishing, as well as climbing Mount Kathadin. Rusty enjoyed spending time with his dad and he was always a protector and caregiver for his brother, Stevie. Rusty will be remembered as a kind, compassionate and sweet man, who never forgot to say “thank you.” He was predeceased by his father, Ralph in 2002; his maternal grandparents, George and Etta Drake; and paternal grandparents, Russell and Lovica Dutton. Rusty is survived by his mother, Madeline Dutton of Old Town; sister, Linda Dutton Reed and her husband, Kevin Reed, of Old Town; brother, Steven Ralph Dutton of Old Town; sister, Wanda Dutton and her husband, Ramon Ramirez, of Townshend, Vt.; aunts, Mary Ellis of Alton and Etta Hodsdon and her husband, Erwin, of Minot; and many special friends including a special blessing, Carolyn Sargent of Hampden. A funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 18, at Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town, with Pastor Ronald Libby officiating.
