BANGOR – Ruth E. Davidson Craig, 91, wife of the late Al Davidson, her loving husband, went home to be with the Lord March 1, 2007, at a local health care facility. She was born Dec. 25, 1915, in Saint John, New Brunswick, the daughter of Bennett and Bessie (Colpitts) Hamilton. Ruth was a wonderful and loving wife and mother who loved the word of God and her Savior Jesus Christ and will be incredibly missed. She is survived by her son, Douglas Davidson of Bangor; her daughter and husband, Janet and Tom Bennett of Orrington; her grandchildren and their wives, Tom Bennett and Rondi of Bangor, David Bennett and Amanda of Hallowell, John Bennett and Allison of Orrington; and two great-grandchildren, Grace Bennett and Brooke Bennett. Ruth was re-married in 1975 to Garold Craig, a fine man who was taken by illness just three months after their marriage. “Nana Ruth” is also survived by Garold’s daughter, Carol Ann and her husband, Richard Florey, of Bangor and their children, Craig and his wife, Glena, of Veazie, Rick, Matthew and Melissa, all of Bangor, Chris and his wife, Debrah, of Brewer, and Elizabeth McCullen and her husband, Joshua, and their son T.J., of Hampden. She was predeceased by her brothers, Murray, Norman, John Hamilton; and sisters, Margaret Warrington, Doris Bishop, and Betty Baart. We are thankful for those who loved her and cared for her, and for the love shown her at Ross Manor, Bangor, and the Ellen Leach Home, Brewer. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, March 4, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, with the Rev. Herman C. Frankland officiating. Friends may call 12:30 p.m. Sunday until time of the service. Spring interment will be at Fern Hill Cemetery, St. John, New Brunswick.
