ELLSWORTH – Ruth S. Royal, 93, died at her residence in Ellsworth, Nov. 21, 2004. She was born May 19, 1911, in Bucksport, the daughter of Thurman and Lulu (Ginn) Snowman. Ruth was a life long member of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Ellsworth. She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by a son, John and wife, Barbara, of Ellsworth; sisters, Thurley Royal of Ellsworth, Bessie Spooner of Rehoboth, Mass.; brother, Sewell Snowman of Trenton; grandchildren, Ben of Portland, Jackie and Peter of Ellsworth. She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond H. Royal; brothers, Enos and Charles; sisters, Carolyn, Alice, Winifred and Augusta; various nieces and nephews. A private memorial service will be held by the family at a later date. Arrangements by Jordan-Fernald, 113 Franklin St. Ellsworth.
