BAR HARBOR – S. Wesley Brown Jr., 75, died Feb. 9, 2005, at MDI Hospital. He was born June 12, 1929, in Hulls Cove, the son of Sewall Wesley and Abbie Mae (Norwood) Brown Sr. Wesley served in the Army in the Signal Corp., stationed in Germany during the Korean War. He was a member of the Bar Harbor Congregational Church and he operated Brown’s Studio for 50 years, doing photography work for many occasions, retiring in 2003. Wesley is survived by his wife, Kathryn (Etter) Brown of Bar Harbor; one son, Lee W. Brown and wife, Cindy L., of Trenton; three daughters, Diane Henderson and her husband, Max, of Steep Falls, Elizabeth B. Lord and husband, Edwin, of Levant and Sharon B. McGarr and Larry, of Bar Harbor; one brother, Henry R. Brown and wife, Martha J., of Groton, Mass. and eight grandchildren, Edwin G. Lord III, Heather M. Lord, Bryan N. Lord, Melissa J. Brown, Jeremy L. Brown, Christopher L. McGarr, Karen R. McGarr and Daniel J. McGarr; niece and nephew, Martha Brown Siddiqui and husband, Saeeda and H. Randal Brown and wife, Betty. Friends are invited to call 4-6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 11, 2005, at Jordan-Fernald, 48 Eden St., Bar Harbor, where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Dr. Sandra Reed officiating. Spring interment will be at Ledgelawn Cemetery, Bar Harbor. Contributions in Wesley’s memory may be made to the Bar Harbor Congregational Church, 29 Mt. Desert St., Bar Harbor, of the MDI YMCA, P.O.
