TRENTON – Sewell T. Snowman, 83, died Dec. 24, 2007, at a Hampden health care facility. He was born May 25, 1924, in Orland, the son of Thurman and Lulu (Ginn) Snowman. Sewell was an Army veteran of World War II serving in England. He was a member of Ellsworth VFW and American Legion, Bar Harbor. He worked as a postal carrier for more than 35 years in Bar Harbor. Sewell was a past master of Bar Harbor Masonic Lodge No. 185 and was a member of Anah Temple and Anah Temple Flag Unit. He served as a member of Bar Harbor planning board and was a Boy Scout Troop leader for many years. He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Pauline (Russell); two sons, Douglas Snowman of Orem, Utah, and Scott Snowman of Trenton; daughter-in-law, Correnia; grandchildren, Jasmyn Snowman of Trenton and Christopher Snowman of Florida; sister, Thurley Royal of Ellsworth; several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, at Jordan-Fernald Funeral Home, 113 Franklin St., Ellsworth.
