LINCOLN and FORT PIERCE, Fla. – Shirley E. Jordan, 85, wife of Arnold Jordan, died Aug. 12, 2005, at a Palm City, Fla. healthcare facility. She was born May 4, 1920, in Cambridge, Ohio, the daughter of William and Marjorie (Bebout) Sigman. Shirley was active in the Democratic Party. She assisted her husband for many years in the operation of Jordan’s Memorial Shop. She enjoyed traveling and spending summers at the Big Narrows. In addition to her husband, Arnold, she is survived by three children, Jay Jordan of Palm City, Fla., Michael L. Jordan of Stuart, Fla. and Andrea McLaughlin of Hampton, N.H.; two brothers, Donald Sigman of Illinois, and Terry Sigman of Ohio; three sisters, Berthel Rau of Kentucky, Jean Jordan of Lincoln and Gail Burns of Illinois; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Donna; three sisters, Maxine, Faye and Donnace Mae; and a brother, William Wayne. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Monday at the Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Darrell Joiner officiating.
