SOPHIE DUBE CARIBOU and AUGUSTA – Sophie Dube, 91, wife of the late Levi Dube, died Jan. 15, 2004, at Augusta. She was born Feb. 14, 1912, in Caribou, the daughter of Mack and Mattie (Theriault) Bishop. Mrs. Dube was employed by the Birds Eye Division of General Foods in Caribou, for more than 25 years and was a long time member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Sophie was an avid quilter and knitter. She enjoyed making braided rugs and truly enjoyed dinning out with her family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Levi, in 1989. She is survived by two sons, Nelson Dube and his wife, Anita, of Portland, and Levi Dube Jr. and his fianc?e, Linda, of Connor; one daughter, Joanne Sinclair of Augusta; one brother and sister-in-law, Philip and Thelma Bishop of Caribou; eight grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held in the spring at the Old Holy Rosary Cemetery at a date and time to be announced by the Mockler Funeral Home, Caribou.
