MERRILL – Sophronia Gardner, 88, died Dec. 2, 2007, in Houlton. She was born Aug. 23, 1919, in Merrill, the daughter of LeRoy and Nancy (Gerald) Gardner She is survived by two sisters, Eloise Clampffer of Philadelphia and Mattie Simpson of Hampden; one brother, John Gardner of Atlanta; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her brothers and sisters, Herbert, E. Ellen, John Henry, Alice May and Flora Alice. Graveside services will be announced in the spring.
