MILLINOCKET – Stanley “Bob” Maragus, 75, passed away March 25, 2005, at a Bangor health care facility. He was born June 27, 1929, in Monroe, the son of William and Domecel (Bagusate) Maragus. A life long resident of Millinocket, Bob graduated from Stearns High School, Class of 1946. He served in the National Guard and worked at the Great Northern Paper Company, retiring in 1989, after 40 years as wood room supervisor. Bob was a member of Nallesomic Lodge AF & AM No. 205 Onawa Chapter No. 130 O.E.S., serving as worthy grand patron from 1970 to 1971. He is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Alyce Maragus of Millinocket; his adopted daughter, Debra Maragus; three stepchildren, Edward Lax, Linda Lax and Steven Lax; his brother and sister-in-law, John and Mary Maragus; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by four sisters, Susie Neal, Vincie Morgan, Ann Yuska and Phyllis Yuska. Funeral services will be private.
