BANGOR – Stanley Clarence Edwards, 60, of Bangor, died June 19, 2004, at a local hospital. He was born Sept. 20, 1943, in Philadelphia, Pa., the son of George and Cecilia Edwards. Stanley was a U.S. Navy Veteran of 20 years, had been employed by the American Concrete Industries, and more recently as a flag supervisor for M & M Services of Winterport and Bangor. He is survived by his wife, Virginia (Spencer) Burns Edwards of Bangor; three sons, Stanley C. Edwards Jr., Sean Edwards and Todd Edwards; two daughters, Diane Edwards and Heather Edwards; grandchildren; one brother, George Edwards; and many friends in the greater Bangor area and in Maine. Private interment will be held in the Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Augusta. Friends who wish may contribute in Stanley’s memory to a charity of their choice.
