BIDDEFORD and LINCOLN – Stanley Charles “Ike” Faulkner, 101, a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away, Sunday, Oct. 17, 2004, at St. Andre’s NursingHome in Biddeford. He was born in Luneberg County, Nova Scotia, Oct. 9, 1903, the son of Charles Austin and Miriam (Oikle) Faulkner. In 1910 the family moved to the U.S. and settled in the Hartland area. Stanley married Audrey E. Webster in 1933, and they made their home in Lincoln. He worked for Eastern Pulp & Paper for 32 years. He was an ardent bowler and loved to fish and hunt. He also loved working in the gardens. He will always be remembered by his grandchildren for the adventures of going for an ice cream, fishing, swimming and picnics, as he always called them “our secret missions.” “Ike,” as he was known to all, is survived by a son, Dana B. Faulkner and his wife, Lin, of Saco; six grandchildren, Ms. Gretchen Gagnon of Biddeford, Mrs. Ray (Heidi) Pottle of Windham, Ms. Robyn Googins of Portland, Miss Lori Oliver of Gorham, Mark Helsor of Lincoln, and Wade Helsor of East Millinocket; seven great-grandchildren, Phillip, Michelle, Nicole and Joseph Gagnon, Ryan Pottle, Haily Googins and Dominic Oliver; three great-great-grandchildren, Aaron and McKala Gagnon and Ashley Lawson; a brother, Max of Brewer; and a sister, Ruby Springer of Brunswick; a special nephew, Lawson Helsor and his wife, Janice, of Lincoln; several nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, at the Clay Funeral Home, Lincoln. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home. Interment will be in Lincoln Cemetery.
