SWANVILLE – Stanley Joseph Sproul, 86, of Swanville, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2005, at his home. He was born Aug., 6, 1918, in Orono, the son of James and Emogene (Gilbert) Sproul. Stanley lived his whole life in this area and wintered in Florida for the last 25 years. He owned dry cleaning businesses in Belfast, Camden and Rockland for many years. Stanley loved golf and was very proud of the 2 times he made a hole-in-one. In addition to his parents he is predeceased by his wife, Georgia (Burrill) Sproul; and many brothers and sisters. Stanley is survived by his two children, Richard Sproul and Elizabeth Jones; three sisters, Arlene Cody, Grace Davis and Elaine Smith; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren; and his companion, Mildred Little. Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the care of the Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave., Belfast.
