HAMPDEN and GREENVILLE Stephen George Lynch III, 24, passed away Aug. 22, 2004, at Mercy Hospital in San Diego, Calif., after a brief illness. Stephen was born April 13, 1980, in Carbondale, Pa. He moved to Greenville where he attended Nickerson Elementary and Louis Oakes Jr. High School. He then moved to the Bangor area where he graduated from Brewer High School and then attended Middlesex Community College. Stephen worked as a landscaper and waiter. He loved to work with the earth and could always make anything grow. Working with the public was another of his loves. He loved people and they loved him. Stephen often became a requested waiter in restaurants, such as Belle Giestos in Mass., and J.B. Parkers and Thistles in Bangor. Stephen had a great love for nature and was also an avid fisherman. He was an intuitive and insightful soul, a loving son, protective brother, loyal friend and peacemaker. His laughter, smiles and wonderful sense of humor will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Stephen was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Dora Mae and Neil Jamieson of Greenville. He is survived by his mother, Christina Jamieson; brother, Matthew Lynch of Greenville and Hampden; father, Stephen G. Lynch II; and friend, Suzanne of National City, Calif.; paternal grandparents, Marjorie and Stephen G. Lynch I; his good fishing buddy, of Clifford, Pa.; uncles and aunts, Charles and Karen Jamieson of Jupitor, Fla., Janet and Mark Kobylarz of Newport, Wash., Mary and David Raczkowski of Cumberland, Cathy and Greg Hichcock of Barre, Vt., Neil and Heather Jamieson of Scarborough, John and Jamie Jamieson of South Portland, Elizabeth Munster of Rockwood, Carolyn and Chet Harhut of Newton Lake, Pa., Patsie, the wife of the late Pat Melody of Scranton, Pa., and Bonnie and James Tollerico of Clark Summit, Pa. Stephen also had many loving cousins who will miss him dearly. Arrangements are by McCrory Funeral Home in Greenville. Visiting hours will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Sept. 3, 2004, at the funeral home. A celebration of Stephen’s life will be held 11 a.m. Sept. 4, at Holy Family Catholic Church, Greenville.
