BAILEYVILLE – Stephen H. Lawless, 72, beloved husband of Eugenia (Jean) Howland Law-less, died Saturday, Feb. 19, 2005, at a Bangor hospital, with his family by his side. He was born March 28, 1932, in Baileyville, the son of Harold W. Lawless and Lillian E. (Dudley) Lawless Alden. He was an Army veteran who enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, woodworking and playing cards with family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, one son, Mike and his wife, Darlene Lawless, of Princeton; three daughters, Kathy and her husband, Jeffrey Burke, of Skowhegan, Susan Lawless of Simpsonville, S.C., and Linda Lawless and her friend, Sylvia Williams, of Township 21; four grandchildren, Christopher Crowe and his fianc?e, Chrystal Haley; Steven Crowe, Amy Burke and her fianc?, Paul Kells Jr. and Ashley Lawless; a cousin, Kathleen Dudley Howland; numerous brother and sister-in-laws and several nieces and nephews; friends, Toby and Betty Hunter, and special friends, Brent and Mary Scott. He was predeceased by his parents, two daughters, Mary Ellen and Debra Joyce Lawless; a brother, Harold R. Lawless; and a sister, Barbara Lawless. Graveside services will be held in the spring at the family lot in the Calais Cemetery and will be announced at a later date.
