BELMONT – Stephen P. Peckham, 48, died May 31, 2008, at Waldo County General Hospital. He was born March 22, 1960, in Weymouth, Mass., the son of Allen S. and Sandra L. (Taurasi) Peckham. Steve, “Babies” or “Daddy,” loved being with people and laughed all the time. He was well liked by all who knew him, and loved to tell stories and jokes. He was a Mason with Quantabacook Lodge. He owned and operated Steve’s Welding for seven years in Massachusetts and the past two years in Maine. He is survived by his wife, Bobbi D. Peckham; parents, James and Sandra Waite; grandmother, Dorothy Taurasi; daughters, Jamie Peckham-Moore, Tracy Parrish, Casey Phillips and Ashley Fitts; son, Patrick Cass; grandchildren, Brooklyn Moore, Sydney Moore, Nathan Parrish, Nathalie Phillips, Veronica Fitts and Alivia Cass; and a new granddaughter on the way. He was predeceased by his father, Allen S. Peckham. Visitation for family and friends will be 5:30-7 p.m. Tuesday, June 3, at Young Funeral Home, 31 West Main St., Searsport.
