CYR PLANTATION – Steven A. Madore, 47, died unexpectedly April 4, 2007, of natural causes, at his residence. He was born Aug. 26, 1959, in Grand Fall, New Brunswick, Canada, the son of Everett and Carline (Doucette) Madore. He was educated in local schools and was a 1978 graduate of Van Buren District High School. Steve was an Army veteran for more than 11 years, serving as a paramedic both stateside and overseas, until his honorable discharge from the service in 1990. He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 49, Van Buren, and was also a life member of the NRA. Steve enjoyed the outdoors and was an active volunteer with the local Boy Scouts. He is survived by his mother, Carline Madore of Van Buren; one sister, Donna Deschaine of Hamlin; one brother, Mark Madore of Eagle Lake. There will be no calling hours. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 10, at St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church, Van Buren. Interment will be at the Maine Veterans’ Cemetery, Caribou.
