BRIDGTON – Steven Kenneth Phillips, 33, passed quietly and unexpectedly Nov. 28, 2007. The son of Charles F. and Cyn-thia M. (Rollins) Phillips, he was born Nov. 24, 1974, in Belfast. Steven graduated in 1993 from Maine Central Institute, Pittsfield, where he was a three-sport athlete and was part of a very close group of friends. Steve graduated from Southern Maine Community College in 2003 with a degree in behavioral sciences, the same year he was inducted into Phi Theta Chi Honors Society. After college, he used his kindness, compassion and insight as a case manager for those in need. Steven is survived by his parents of Bridgton; a sister, Andrea and her husband, Bryan Hardison; his niece, Elizabeth Hardison; maternal grandmother Joanna (Rollins) Crooker of Bridgton; many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his paternal grandmother, Lois Phillips Lane. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in his memory be made to Tri County Mental Health Services, attn: Development Office, P.O. Box 2008, Lewiston, ME 04241-2008.
