MATTAMISCONTIS – Susan Elaine Hendrickson, 50, died March 15, 2007, at her home. She was born Feb. 18, 1957, in North Haven, Conn., a daughter of Donald and Julia (Beattie) Gritzbach. Susan was a graduate of Lyman Hall, Wallingford, Conn., and spent her life as a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, was an avid reader and loved her horses. She was a veteran of the U.S. Army and recently became a member of the American Legion. Susan also belonged to the Grange in Passadumkeag. She is survived by her children, Jeremy and Selina Hendrickson; their father, Paul Hendrickson; three sisters, Kathy Gritzbach, Diane Esposito and Brenda Gritzbach; many nieces and nephews; a special friend, Dave Commune; as well as a multitude of animal friends, especially her special dog, Titus; and her special cat, Sebastian. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Robert Gritzbach. A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. next Friday, March 23, at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln.
