NEWPORT – Susan J. Paradis, 49, died unexpectedly at her Newport residence. She was born May 14, 1955, at Bangor. Susan had completed her GED at Nokomis Regional High and had worked as a convenience store clerk. She especially enjoyed music, and will be remembered as a free spirit. Susan is survived by her parents, Forrest and Melva (Blaney) Strout of Pittsfield; four sons, Braun Clark of Temple, Texas, Eric Clark Sr. of Raleigh, N.C., Patrick Clark of Portland, Ryan and wife, Lisa Clark, of Old Town; her biological father, Robert Hall Sr. and stepmother, June Hall of Islesboro; two brothers, Everett Hall of Swanville, and David Hall of Morrill; four sisters, Dianne Hall of Searsport, Kathy Nickerson of Swanville, Goldie Jordan of Stockton Springs, and Anne Hall of Florida; grandchildren, Christopher and Eric Clark Jr.; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her biological mother, Annie Mae (Patterson) Hall; two brothers, Richard and Robert Hall Jr. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, June 11, at the Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 117 Main St., Newport.
