SHERMAN and MEDWAY – Susie B. Corlis, 95, died Jan. 12, 2006, at Millinocket. She was born Nov. 9, 1910, in Sherman, the daughter of David and Rosanna (Davis) Morgan. Susie is a retired U.S. Postmaster and an active member of the Retired National League of Postmasters. She enjoyed her family, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, gardening, mowing her lawn and picking berries. She is survived by two daughters, Mildred and her husband, Frank Watts, of Medway and Rita Corliss of Lebanon; six grandchildren, Pennecia, Ralph, Mark, Mathew, Ann Marie and Darcy Sue; several great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; a special niece, Lucille (Morgan) Sides, as well as several other nieces, nephews and cousins; a very close friend, Lydia. She was predeceased by her husband, Clarence in 1991; and a son, David in 1995. Friends may call noon-2 p.m. Saturday, at the Washburn Memorial Church, Sherman, with funeral services being held 2 p.m., with the Rev. John Deal, officiating. Spring interment will be in the Sherman Mills Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Washburn Memorial Church, Sherman, ME 04776.
