MEDWAY – Tarzan Bill York, 63, died March 20, 2006, at a Bangor hospital. He was born Nov. 22, 1942, in Medway, the son of George Wellington York and Mazie (Jones) York. Tarzan enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also liked working in the woods and carpentry work. He also enjoyed working with leather, making harnesses and other products. In addition to his mother, Mazie of Millinocket, he is survived by two sons, William York Sr. and his wife, Amy, of Medway, Cory York and his wife, Ann, of Charlotte; five sisters, Mickey Cramp of Medway, Donna Cottle and her husband, Everett, of Macwahoc, Pat Oliver and her husband, Dick, of Medway, Evangeline Thompson of East Millinocket, and Vi Wagner of Selins Grove, Pa.; five grandchildren, Christina, Kaitlyn and William Jr., all of Medway, and Randalynn and Dakota, both of Charlotte. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by a sister, Mary York. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, March 21, at the Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Rd., Lincoln. A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday at Calvary Temple Assembly of God, East Millinocket, with the Rev. Regginal Adams officiating. Spring interment will be in Grindstone Road Cemetery.
