SANGERVILLE – Terry Ludger Higgins, 65, died Jan. 12, 2008, at a Bangor hospital. He was born April 26, 1942, in Sangerville, the son of Ludger and Charlotte (Clukey) Higgins. He grew up in Sangerville, where he developed a love for golf at an early age. Terry enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1966, serving 22 months in Vietnam. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He met his wife, Rosanna Lee Murphy, in 1978 and married her in 1979. He owned and operated T&L’s General Store with his family in Sangerville for 24 years, during which time he made many lifelong friends and new family. His passion was golf and he always loved to make bets when playing with his golfing buddies. Terry also loved his dialysis family at Togus VA Hospital. He will always be loved and remembered as a great father, husband and friend. He is survived by his wife, Rosanna of Sangerville; children, Vicki Higgins and Randy Fletcher, both of Laveen, Ariz., Dr. Shawn Higgins of Waterville, Shelly and husband, Mike Higgins-Keziah, of Durham, N.C., and Amanda and husband, Tim Russell, of Dover, N.H.; grandchildren, Jacob, Laney and Meagan Keziah, Jordan, Addison, Lucas and Colby Russell; sister, Rita and husband, Richard Provost, of Sangerville; many special nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; sister, Anita Wilson; and son, Scott Langlais. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 14, at Crosby & Neal, 21 Oak St., Guilford, where a memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday with Jeff Lewis officiating.
