EASTON – Tessa Elizabeth Allen, 66, died after a brief illness, Monday, Sept. 26, 2005, at Aroostook Medical Center, Presque Isle. She was born Sept. 30, 1938, in Caribou, the daughter of Jasper and Marion (Bowden) Norsworthy. Tessa graduated from Caribou High School in 1955. She married Richard C. Allen Oct. 4, 1955. Tessa worked in various grocery stores throughout Presque Isle for many years. She and Richard owned Dick’s Market, on the Presque Isle-Easton town line for several years. Tessa was a past president and member of the Presque Isle BPW. Although Tessa was not a member of the Easton Kiwanis Club, or the Presque Isle Elks, she worked many years helping them with fundraisers and community services. Tessa is survived by two sons and their wives, Michael and Lois Allen of Easton, Mark and Kelly Allen of Presque Isle; a daughter and son-in-law, Marion and David Donahue of Easton; six grandsons, Jay Winger and his fianc?e, Ana, Brad Winger and his wife, Tammy, Michael Ireland II and his wife, Allison, Mark, John, and Joshua Allen; a granddaughter, Tessa Ashley Ireland; and two step-granddaughters, Emily and Cara Donahue; four great- grandchildren, Brian, Jaren, Karsen, and Madison; two brothers, Richard Norsworthy and his wife, Glenna, of Arizona, Robert Norsworthy and his wife, Carol, of Caribou; a sister, Jacqueline McCubrey and her husband, Quentin, of Alaska; several brothers and sisters-in-law, many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 33 years, Richard in 1998; two sisters, Marilyn Gay Jalbert and Gloria Blummer; a grandson, Stacey Winger; and a great-granddaughter, Cassidy Jay Richardson. Relatives and friends may call 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle, where funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, with her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, the Rev. Fredrick and Brenda Gay officiating. Interment will be at Estes Park Cemetery, Easton. In lieu of flowers the family wishes those who would like to make donations to the Maine Children’s Cancer Program, 100 U.S. Route 1, Unit 107, Scarborough, ME 04074 or to the American Red Cross, 141 State St., Presque Isle, ME 04769.
