BANGOR – Thelma (Stevens) Clukey, 89, wife of the late Francis J. Clukey, died Jan. 21, 2004, at a Bradenton, Fla. hospital. She was born April 10, 1914, in Bangor, the daughter of George and Sarah “Sadie” (Smith) Stevens. Thelma and her husband George ran Clukey Motor Colony for 25 years. She enjoyed being with her family, bowling, playing cards, and will be so very missed by her family. She is survived by her daughter and husband, Joanne and Larry DeYoung of Bangor and Palmetto, Fla.; two sisters, Dolly and her husband, Robert Flanagan of Palmetto, Fla., Rosalie Gallant of Bangor; grandchildren, Larry DeYoung II and his wife, Lois of Bristol, R.I., Sarah and her husband, Stephen Burnham of Dedham; great-grandchildren, Jessica and Adam DeYoung of Bristol, R.I., Kelly and her husband, Allen Smith of Ellsworth, Stephen Burnham Jr. and his wife, Heather of Holden, beloved great-great-grand-children, Bradly and Nathan Smith of Ellsworth; a niece Thelma raised, Regina Clukey of Palmetto, Fla., special niece, Nancy Leahy of Birmingham, Ala., and several other nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held this spring at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, at a time and date to be announced. Interment will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Bangor.
