JONESBORO – On March 23, 2004, Theone Look-Bagley, 79, passed away unexpectedly at a Bangor hospital. Her family was at her side. Theone was born Aug. 8, 1924, the daughter of Daisy and Charles Fish on. She was the third of four children. Theone attended Jonesboro Elementary School and Jonesboro High School, graduating in 1941. She also attended the Washington State Normal School. On June 27, 1942, she married Carroll F. Look in Brunswick, and they had four sons, Bruce of Jonesboro, Dean of North Waterboro, Timothy of Jonesboro, and Tony of Chelsea. Theone led an active and varied career as a civil servant and as clerical administrator for the family business. Involved in local, county and state government for more than 50 years, she served as a town clerk and treasurer and on the board of county commissioners, serving as chairman for eight of her 10 years. Theone also served five terms in the State House of Representatives from 1986-1996. She was the recipient of many awards, honors and recognition’s during her career. Theone was a Past Matron and Grand Officer of the Order of the Eastern Star. She had also been an active member of the Jonesboro Grange and the Jonesboro Union Church for most of her life. Her husband, Carroll, passed away in February of 1990. Subsequently, she married her best friend, John Bagley of East Machias on Aug. 12, 2000. She loved spending time with John, and they especially enjoyed attending political meetings and conferences. Theone also enjoyed crocheting, gardening, cooking and dancing. She was predeceased by her husband, Carroll Look; her parents, Charles and Daisy Fish, and her sister, Norma Wilson. She is survived by her present husband, John Bagley; brothers, Lloyd and Earl Fish; four sons and their wives; 11 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; a large extended family; and a loving stepfamily. A funeral service held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 27, at the Centre Street Congregational Church, Machias, with the Rev. Bernard Brown and Rev. Gini King officiating.
