WATERVILLE and SOLDIER POND – Theresa (Jacques) Dumond, 83, died Dec. 31, 2007, at a Waterville nursing home. She was born Dec. 12, 1924, in Soldier Pond, the daughter of Peter and Catherine (Martin) Jacques. Theresa taught school in Fort Kent, SAD-27, for 30 years until she retired. She was a member of the National Retired Teachers Association, Maine Retired Teachers Association, Aroostook Retired Teachers Association, University of Maine – Fort Kent Alumni Association, Maine Association of Retirees, RSVP, volunteer, L’union St. Jean Baptiste and Catholic Order of Foresters. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Elbridge “Pat” Dumond of Waterville; two sons, Eric Dumond and his wife, Lori, of Waterville and Daniel Dumond of Waterville; two daughters, Norma Stewart and her husband, Phil, of Waterville and Pattie Marczewski and her hus-band, George, of Grand Rapids, Mich.; seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. In keeping with her wishes, there will be no viewing. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 4, 2008, at St. Francis Lasalle Catholic Church, Waterville. A spring committal service will be held May 16, 2008, at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Soldier Pond. Arrangements are being coordinated by Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, Fort Kent.
