SEARSMONT – Thomas LeeRoy McCafferty, 69, of Searsmont died Feb. 25, 2005. He was taken care of at home under Hospice care surrounded by his loving family. He fought his illness with dignity and is now with his Lord. He was a member of the Iron Workers Local 711. He was predeceased by his father, Hugh Henry McCafferty; mother, Yvonne McCafferty; son, Michael McCafferty; great-grandson, Hayden Greco; and several aunts and uncles. He leaves behind his wife of 47 years, Nancy; his sons, Mark L. McCafferty of Searsmont, and John A. McCafferty of Searsmont; his daughters and their husbands, Lisa and Tim Woods of Knox, Lorri and Kenneth Curtis of Searsmont; his grandchildren, Maranda McCafferty of Belfast, Justin Greco of Buckfield, Codey Woods of Knox, Michael Curtis of Searsmont, John McCafferty of Searsmont and Zacharie McCafferty of Fairbanks, Ala.; as well as nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind special friends, Mike Richards, Farley Weeks, Bunk Edgecomb, Jim Cox, Joe Cox and Bob Cunningham. Donations can be made to the Kno-Wal-Lin Hospice, 170 Pleasant St, Rockland, ME 04841. Arrangements are under the care of the Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Avenue, Belfast.
