BANGOR – Thomas “Tom” M. Sabal, 53, devoted husband of Pamela (Burke) Sabal, died unexpectedly Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2003. He was born July 6, 1950, in Waterbury, Conn., the son of the late Amelia “Millie” (Turski) Sabal. Tom is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Pamela, and their two daughters, Laura Lee and Sara Elizabeth Sabal, all of Bangor. He is also survived by two brothers, Joseph Sabal and his wife, Janet, Peter Sabal; one sister, Karen Sabal, all of Naugatuck, Conn.; a father-in-law, Bob Burke of Lincoln; brothers-in-law, Bobby Burke of Lincoln, James Burke and his wife, Paula, of Manchester; sisters-in-law, Nancy and her husband, Gene Daigle, of Lincoln and Glorianne Burke and Chris Manzo of Millinocket; several nieces, nephews and special friends; and his special dogs, Comet and Brandy. A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 20, 2003, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, with the Rev. Robert T. Carlson, Chaplain of Husson College, officiating.
