ELLSWORTH – Thomas Patrick Cloherty, 37, a U.S. Fish and Wildlife Officer, who resided in Gouldsboro died Dec. 8, 2005. He was born March 17, 1968, in New York City, N.Y. Tom grew up in South Salem, N.Y., graduated from John Jay High School, Class of 1986 and achieved the rank of Eagle Scout in Troop 1 of Lewisboro. He attended Loyola College in Maryland, graduating in 1991, served as first officer on the tall ships, Pride of Baltimore 11 and Amistad and as captain of the Pioneer and the Clipper City. He also worked on the restoration of the U.S.S. Constellation in Baltimore. Soon after, he enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard attaining the rank of lieutenant. He served aboard the U.S.C.G. Cutter Chase out of San Diego and served in Pittsburgh before becoming a special agent with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service stationed in Maine. He is survived by his wife, Mary Catherine (Conley); his four children, Myles, Grace, Conan and Aidan; his mother, Helen (Wagner) Cloherty of South Salem, N.Y.; his sisters, Tami and Erin; and his bothers, Tim, Chris and Terrence, many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Monday, at Kane Funeral Home, 25 Catoonah St., Ridgefield, Conn. A Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:15 a.m. Tuesday, at St. Mary’s R.C. Church, 55 Catoonah St., Ridgefield, Conn. Burial will follow in South Salem Cemetery, South Salem, N.Y. In lieu flowers, send contributions to the Thomas P.
