UNA THERIAULT FORT KENT – Una Theriault, 74, beloved wife of 56 years to Ernest Theriault died April 11, 2005, after a long illness. She died at home surrounded by her loving family. Una was born Dec. 2, 1930, in Fort Kent, the daughter of the late Thomas and Sophie (Paradis) Dubois. Her life was dedicated to the service of others, primarily her family, her church and her community. She was a dedicated communicant at the St. Louis Church. Her volunteerism included her service to the Retired Senior Volunteer Program (R.S.V.P.), Hospice of Aroostook, For Kent Right to Life, Special Religious Education for Persons with Disabilities, St. Louis Church store, Good Shepard Shop and the Food Pantry. She was also a eucharistic minister and for 18 years, she was a part of the Cursillo movement as a helper and as a team leader. She also enjoyed working with Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (R.C.I.A.), as a volunteer and had the privilege of sponsoring Jack Hagar, Cindy St. Jean and Angela Saucier into the Catholic faith. Una was a member of the Columbiettes and the Ladies of St. Anne Society. She served in her work life as a store clerk for nine and half years at W.T. Grants Department Store followed by 20 years at Forest Hill Nursing Home until her retirement in 1992. She is survived by her husband, Ernest Theriault; one son, Joel Theriault and his companion, Leslie McDaniel, of Bangor; four daughters, Gloria and her husband, Jim Eldridge, of Bow, N.H., Helen and her husband, Paul Madeau, of Fort Kent, Therese Theriault of Madawaska, and Janet and her husband, Dana Saucier, of Fort Kent. She leaves behind 10 grandchildren, Kim Eldridge, Colby Eldridge, Tracey Daigle, Terry (Saucier) Caron, Wayne Saucier Jr., Chantal (Cyr) Graves, Douglas Cyr, Sasha Cyr, Jason and Jeffrey Saucier. She had the joy of having six great-grandchildren, Megan Saucier, Adrianna Daigle, Alex Graves, Oliver Graves, Morgan Cyr and Riley Troyer. Una is also survived by her sister, Maria Dubois of Fort Kent; two brothers, Leonard (Garcon) Dubois and his wife, Edna, and Jean Dubois and his wife, Jeannette, both of Fort Kent; many nieces and nephews. Una was predeceased by her parents; a daughter, Lorilla in 1956; a brother, Norman Dubois; and two sisters, Jeannette Deprey and Juliette Pelletier. Friends may call at the Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, Fort Kent, 7-9 p.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. until time of service on Friday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday, at the St. Louis Catholic Church, with Una’s nephew, the Rev. Andrew Dubois officiating. Spring burial will be in May 2005, at the Holy Family Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may donate in her memory to the Edgar J.
