LOGAN, Utah and MAPLETON – Valeria Okel Howell Richardson, 86, wife of the late James A. Richardson, passed away peacefully on Friday, Oct. 31, 2003, at a Logan Utah health care facility. Okel was born April 12, 1917, in Pikeville, Ky., the daughter of Charlie and Sarah Leona (Hall) Howell. She married her husband on Nov. 7, 1945 and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She is survived by her children, Gary Richardson and his wife, Connie, of South Rockwood, Mich., Glenda Arnett and her husband, Bob, of Presque Isle, Sylvia Stiles and her husband, Ronald, of Ferndale, Wash., Philip Richardson and his wife, Martha, of Hyrum, Utah, David Richardson and his wife, Rose, of Austin, Texas, and Robert Richardson and his wife, Pamela, of Nibley, Utah; her siblings, Bea Ford of Ecorse, Mich., Raymond Howell of Toler Creek, Ky., Dolly Stevens of Harold, Ky., Ocie Birchfield of Ohio, John Howell of Toler Creek, Ky., Linzie Howell of Pikeville, Ky.; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and a special sister-in-law, Florence Kluchnick of New Hampshire. There will be no calling hours. Funeral services will be conducted 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle. Interment will be in the Crouseville Cemetery.
