GARLAND – Velma F. Gallagher, 84, died Feb. 14, 2008, at her residence. She was born March 6, 1923, in Corinth, a daughter of Earl Goodwin and Myrtie (Goss) Goodwin Tracy. She worked for the State Unemployment Office and Levinson Center, both in Bangor. She was a member of Seventh Day Adventist Church, Dexter and Garland Grange, since 1937. Velma is survived by three sons, Thomas Wyman of Biddeford, Timothy Washburn of Garland and Mark and wife, Durice Washburn, of Corinth; a daughter, Carlena and husband, Kendall Bean, of Corinth; a stepson, Phillip Washburn of Connecticut; a stepdaughter, Joan Tilton of Bangor; a sister, Carolyn Duckart of California; 12 grandchildren, 13 great- grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Ralph Gallagher; and a sister, Maple Bridge. There will be no public calling hours. Spring graveside services will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, Garland.
