MILBRIDGE – Venetta W. Crocker, 87, of Milbridge, died Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2007, at a Milbridge health care facility after a sudden illness. She was born Dec. 2, 1919, in North Sullivan, the daughter of the late Alfred and Rosie (Jellison) Warren. Mrs. Crocker attended schools in Sullivan. She and her husband, Arthur, were caretakers for the Rockefeller Estate, Bar Harbor for many years. They moved to Chicago for her husband to work on the railroad and she worked for several area stores as a clerk. Lastly, she was a store clerk at Brownies Market, Bangor, for many years. She enjoyed bowling, fishing and crafts. She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur M. Crocker in 1969. She was also predeceased by her siblings, Barbara Staples, Winifred Lounder, Hershyl Warren, Alfred Warren and Manley Warren. Surviving family members include a sister, Celia Pinkham of Cherryfield; and a brother, Shirley Warren of Cherryfield; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Graveside services will be held in Blaisdell Cemetery, North Sullivan, in the spring. Arrangements are by the Bragdon-Kelley-Campbell Funeral Home of Milbridge.
