PRESQUE ISLE – Vera M. Soucie, 87, died Monday, Dec. 6, 2004, at a Presque Isle hospital. She was born Jan. 27, 1917, at Easton the daughter of Randolph and Mary Jane (Lindsey) Wright. She worked at Dana’s restaurant, and at A.R. Gould Hospital as a dietitian for many years. Vera is survived by her husband of 70 years, Fred Soucie of Presque Isle; three daughters and their husbands, Mary Jane and Bob Miller, Joyce and Daniel Fletcher, all of Presque Isle, Shirley Haines of Wolcott, Conn.; two brothers and their wives, Roy and Colleen Wright of Lakeland, Fla., and Barry and Jeannine Wright of Ocala, Fla.; 13 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by an infant son, Freddie. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, at the Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle with the Rev. Larry Palmer officiating. Relatives and friends may call 12 noon until time of service at the funeral home. Interment will be at Fairmount Cemetery.
