MILLINOCKET – Virginia R. “Ginger” Michaud, 72, died at a Lincoln healthcare facility Monday, Dec. 6, 2004. She was born in Millinocket the daughter of Edwin and Dorothy (Dempsey) Barnes. Ginger was a lifelong resident of Millinocket. She worked as a telephone operator in her early years. She also worked at the Coffee Shop and Joe & Mary’s Restaurant. She was a communicant of St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She is survived by four sons, Mark “Chet” Michaud Jr. of Bucksport, Ed and wife, Nancy Michaud, of Norway, Tim Michaud and his friend, Mark Gray, of Florida, and Tad Michaud of Ohio; three daughters, Katherine and husband, George Hobbs, Penny and husband, Everett Hale, and Julie and husband, Bob Johnson all of Millinocket; a daughter-in-law, Stephenie Michaud of Norway; her grandchildren, Sheri, Peggy and husband, Jeff, Jamie, Ashley, Kate, Nick, Matt, Thomas, and Anthony; her great-grandchildren, Nick, Sam, Grace, Gwen, and Joshua; two sisters-in-law, Alberta Barnes, and Ada Barnes both of Millinocket. She was predeceased by her husband, Mark “Chet” Michaud Sr.; a son, Lawrence Michaud; two brothers, James Barnes Sr., and Gerald Barnes Sr.; and a sister, Irene Young. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 7, at R. L. Bouchard Funeral Home, 11 Tamarack St., Millinocket. Services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2004, at the funeral home with Deacon Danny Watson officiating. Burial will be in Millinocket Cemetery at a later date.
