COLUMBIA FALLS – Verlyne Leona Morrison, 93, went home to be with her Lord Nov. 29, 2003, at a Milbridge healthcare facility. She was born May 21, 1910, at West Jonesport, the daughter of Clyde and Elmira (Norton) Urquhart. She attended Jonesport schools and was employed at the William Underwood factory in Jonesport for many years. She also worked at Roy Ray’s sardine factory in Milbridge and other area seafood processing plants. She was a member of Faith Bible Fellowship Church of Milbridge and a member of Indian River Grange where she was steward for 14 years. She married her beloved Percy Morrison in 1942. He passed away in 1981. She is survived by her daughter, Imogene Alley Fickett and her husband, Johnny, of Milbridge; she had four grandchildren, Larry (deceased Jan. 23, 1998) and his wife, Brenda Moore Fickett Beal, of Harrington, Sandra Fickett Beal and husband, Jeff, of Milbridge, Jon Fickett and wife, Betsy Crane Fickett, of Milbridge, and Laurie Fickett Cirone and husband, Danny, of Addison; eight grandchildren, Larry Jo Fickett (a student at UMPI), Jonathan Fickett, Katrina Imogene Fickett, Eve Beal Parkin and husband, Eric, Denise Beal Goston and husband, Hartley, Gary Brooks, Skye Cecelia Cirone, and Derrick Daniel Cirone; four great-great-grandchildren, Ashton Marie Parkin, Nehemiah Linwood Parkin, Joshua Jeffery Goston and Darian Sue Goston. She was predeceased by her sister, Madeline Urquhart Robinson; and two brothers, Dalton Urquhart and Fernald Urquhart. There will be a brief graveside service 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7, at the Look Cemetery, East Side, Addison, with the Rev. Ambrose Rolfe officiating. Arrangements are by Bragdon-Kelley-Campbell Funeral Home, Milbridge.
