MILFORD – Vernon N. Thibeault Sr., 53, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, May 28, 2006, at his residence. He was born July 12, 1952, in Fort Kent, the son of Albert J. and Ethel (Gourneault) Thibeault. Vernon was a hard working woodsman. He worked with his dad since he was a young boy with only a work horse. He loved the outdoors, especially fishing, hunting and archery. Vernon was always competing in archery competitions and won many first place trophies. He was a loving and caring husband. His wife will love and miss him forever. He was a great provider for his family. Vernon very much enjoyed putting on his Sunday family barbecues. He included his family in everything, such as teaching his daughters at a young age how to drive his skidder, which he took great care of. He was a devoted father who went out of his way to see that his daughters didn’t go without. If any repairs were needed, he’d drop everything to do the repair. You could always depend on him to be there when you needed him. Vernon was a special Grampy and enjoyed bringing his two grandsons treats, which always put a smile on their face. Sometimes all it took was a ride in Grampy’s truck. He enjoyed teaching them how to fish, drive his fourwheeler and his riding lawn mower. Vernon was also a member of Knights of Columbus in Old Town. He is survived and will be sadly missed by his wife of 30 years, Sandra Thibeault of Milford; two daughters, Becky Thibeault of Milford, Susan Thibeault and her boyfriend, Jeff Bragdon, of Old Town; two grandsons, Cody and Carter Thibeault and their father, Dana Cox, all of Milford; his mother, Ethel Thibeault of Milford; two sisters, Vina Thibeault of Bangor, Lisa Bates and her husband, Alan, of Milford; brother, Vernald Thibeault and his wife, Cheryl, of Milford; and many other family members who love and will miss him greatly. He was predeceased by his father, Albert J. Thibeault; and infant son, Vernon N. Thibeault Jr. A celebration of life will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday at the Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town with the Rev. Bill Labbe officiating. Burial will be held immediately after the service at St. Joseph Cemetery in Old Town. Donations may be sent to Sandra Thibeault, P.O. Box 707, Milford, ME 04461. www.birminghamfuneralhome.com
