DEXTER – Vincent Cangelosi, 63, died unexpectedly July 28, 2006, in Bangor. He was born April 19, 1943, in Cefalu, Italy, the son of Salvatore and Serafina (Tarsia) Cangelosi. Vincent served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam and was stationed in Germany, as a drill sergeant. He was a member of St. Agnes Parish in Pittsfield and had recently moved to Dexter where he attended St. Anne’s Parish. Vincent was an avid sports fan and loved the New York Yankees. Dedicated to his loving family, he is survived by six children, Veronica Cangelosi and her daughter, Kalie, of Bangor, Bernadette Cangelosi, also of Bangor, Vincent Cangelosi of Dexter, Lisa Brown of Florida, Suzanne Conway and Andrea Simmons, both of Arizona; seven grandchildren; three brothers, Ross and Joseph, both of New York and Salvatore of Italy; one sister, Marie Ciccarelli of New York; several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday at Kiley Funeral Home, 69 State St., Brewer with the Very Rev. Richard McLaughlin, pastor of St. John’s Catholic Church, Bangor, presiding. Burial with military honors will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Maine Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, Mount Vernon Road, Augusta.
