PEMBROKE – Viola F. Cook, 94, passed away Nov. 11, 2004, after a lengthy illness at the Eastport Memorial Nursing Home. She was born Aug. 20, 1910, in Edmunds, the daughter of the late Herbert and Sarah Farley. Viola enjoyed playing bingo and going to Meals for Me. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by four children; son, Guy Cook Jr. and wife, Doris, of California; daughter, Faye Cushing and husband, Vernon, of Pembroke; son, Dale Cook and wife, Emma Jean, of Eddinburg, and daughter, Carol Haibon and husband, Edward of East Waterboro; son-in-law, Edwin Berry and wife, Margaret of Hudson; grandchildren, Guy Cook III, Teresa Domingos, Michael Cook, Ricky Cushing, Michelle Caruso, Deanna Runeman, Jo-ann Berry, Ellen Jennings, Stephen Berry, Edward Haibon III, and Catherine Couture; 20 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and many friends. Viola was predeceased by her husband of nearly 50 years, Guy Cook, Sr.; a daughter, Sylvia Berry; and a grandson, Duane Cook. A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2004, at Dennysville Cemetery officiated by the Rev. Bob Hinton.
