ELLSWORTH – Viola M. Sargent, 96, died Jan. 27, 2007, at an Ellsworth health care facility. She was born Jan. 14, 1911, in Tewksbury, Mass., the daughter of Edward and Ethel (Spencer) Eichman. She married her husband, Raymond F. Sargent in May 1928. Viola is survived by her children, Roger Sargent and his wife, Jeannine, Edward Sargent and his wife, Rosemary, Lillian Sargent Katsiaficas and her husband, Charles, and Ellen Sargent Kroot and her husband, John; and a son-in-law, Carl Magoon; 21 grandchildren, 29 great-grand-children, five great-great grand-children, several cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond F. Sargent; her daughter, Rachel Sargent Magoon; a grandson, Jeffrey Magoon. At Viola’s request, there will be a celebration of her life at a memorial service in the spring, to be announced at a later date.
