BELFAST – Virginia A. Johnson, of 7 Cottage St., passed away Monday, Nov. 6, 2006, in Belfast. She was born Dec. 20, 1938, in Belmont, to Floyd and Lovicy (Pendleton) Littlefield. She was the wife of David Johnson and they would have celebrated 50 years of marriage next June. She was a 1957 graduate of Crosby High School, Belfast. She worked at many different jobs including Cottle’s Supermarket, Merrill Trust Co., Fleet Bank and was a certified nurses’ aide at Camden Nursing Home. She was a long time valued member of the hospital aide at Waldo County General Hospital. In addition to her husband, David, she is survived by a son, Steve Johnson and wife, Laurie, of Swanville; two daughters, Candace Hanson and her husband, Linwood, of Orland, Diane Miles and her husband, Donald, of Waldo; brother, Ernest Littlefield of Morrill; mother-in-law, Marion Huntley of Belfast; sisters-in-law, Barbara Doyle and husband, Russell, Polly Davis and husband, Phil, Penny Rae and husband, Cameron, Ro-Anne Curry and husband, Brian; seven grandchildren, Steve Johnson and wife, Ashley, Jesse Johnson, Ashley and Graham Hanson, Katie, Amy and Tyler Miles; also many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, father-in-law, Maurice Johnson; sister-in-law, Pat Riley; and brother-in-law, Denny Johnson. Ginny was a great cook and loved to cook for her family and many friends. She will be sadly missed by all of us who loved her. A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 10, at First Baptist Church, High Street, Belfast.
