EAST MACHIAS – Virginia B. Huntley, 87, passed away Aug. 4, 2004, at the Machias Hospital after a brief illness. She was born Oct. 21, 1916, in Lakewood, R.I., the daughter of the late Harold C. and Maude E. (Blanchard) Baker. Virginia was a volunteer at Marshall Healthcare Facility for many years. She enjoyed reading and watching for deer in her yard. She was also a descendant of the Mayflower Pilgrims. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Huntley of South Easton, Mass.; son, Robert Huntley and his wife, Virginia, of Plymouth, Mass.; grandson, Steven Huntley of Plymouth, Mass.; brother, Norman Baker and wife, Jackie, of California; sister-in-law, Virginia Baker of Erie, Pa.; niece, Debbie King; nephew, Michael King; and several other nieces, nephews, and many friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Huntley in 1981; sister, Dorothy King; and brother, Clayton Baker. A private graveside service will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Marshall Healthcare Facility, 9 Beal St., Machias, ME 04654.
