BANGOR – Virginia Clara Johnston, 27, died suddenly Sept. 26, 2006, at a Bangor hospital. She was born May 25, 1979, in Bangor, the daughter of Carlton Sr. and Sherry Lynn (Butler) Johnston. Virginia did volunteer work around Bangor and attended the Essex Street Baptist Church, Bangor. She enjoyed dancing and visiting with her mother and stepfather. She is survived by her mother, Sherry Lynn Viola and husband, John, of Bangor; a brother, Carlton Johnston Jr. of Arizona; a half sister, Benita Jamison of Orono; a half brother, Jerry Johnston of Brewer; her best friend, Vera; dear companion, Tim; many aunts, uncles, and cousins. A service of remembrance will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 4, at the Essex Street Baptist Church, Bangor, with the Rev. Randall Wilbur officiating. Interment will be at Enfield Village Cemetery, Enfield. A service of Brookings-Smith, Bangor.
