COTTAGEVILLE, S.C. – Virginia Kathleen Baker, 79, widow of Claude Davine Baker, went home to be with her Lord Friday, April 20, 2007, at her residence. Mrs. Baker was born May 2, 1927, in Caribou, daugh-ter of the late Charles Cox and Cora B. Davenport Cox. She was formerly employed by Robert Bosch and Charleston Air Force Base. She was a member of Heritage Holiness Church, Ladson, S.C. Survivors include, three sons, Joseph Baker and Allison of Summerville, S.C., Thomas “TP” Baker of Summerville, S.C., Samuel Baker of North Charleston, S.C.; three daughters, Sylvian Williams and Jack of Marietta, Ga., Roberta “Bobbie” Hale and Earl of Cottageville, S.C., Sue Weeks and Kenny of Cottageville, S.C.; one brother, Vernon Cox and Annie of North Charleston, S.C.; two sisters, Hannah Rossignol of East Millinocket and Wilma Dow and Clarence of Caribou; grandchildren, Virginia Domenico and Allen, Deborah Kammerer and Chris, Kimberly Schobloher and John, Amy Keith and Kenny, Michael Williams and Holly, Lindy Mariucci and Denise, Rebecca Huseman and Troy, Amanda and Craig Ackerman, Michelle Weeks, Shawn Weeks and Staci, Brody Baker, Patricia Baker, Brett Baker, Travis Baker, Dorian Baker and McKenna Baker; 21 great-grandchildren, many very special nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. She was predeceased by six brothers and one sister. Special thanks to Winyah Community Hospice Care, Walterboro, S.C. Funeral service for Mrs. Baker will be held 11 a.m. Monday, April 23, at Heritage Holiness Church, 3836 Ladson Road, Ladson, S.C. Burial will be private.
