EASTPORT – Virginia Libby (Gatcomb) Dennison, 71, passed away March 29, 2007, at Eastport Memorial Nursing Home, after being a resident there for 24 years. She was born April 30, 1935, in East Machias, the daughter of the late Carroll and Alice (Libby) Gatcomb. Virginia is survived by her husband, Charles of Jacksonville; three daughters, Rebecca Look of Whiting, Linda McLean of Lubec, and Kim of Massachusetts; two sons, Charles of Cutler and John of Buxton; several grandchildren; two sisters, Barbara Curtis of Calais and Pauline Tyson of East Machias; and a sister-in-law, Joan Gatcomb of East Machias. Her extended family was the entire staff at Eastport Memorial Nursing Home, past and present, who showed her more love and care than anyone could ever imagine. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Carroll Gatcomb Jr.; and a special granddaughter, Elizabeth Look. There will be no visiting hours.
